Desander

Desanders and desilters are solid control equipment with a set of hydrocyclones that separate sand and silt from drilling fluids in drilling rigs.
HANDES Series Desanders are mounted on top of the mud tank following the sieve with a mud gas separator vibrator, before the Design. Desander removes abrasive solids from drilling fluids that cannot be removed by a vibrating screen.
A centrifugal pump is used to pump drilling fluids from the mud tank to the hydrocyclone set.
HANDES Series Desanders are an equipment used to separate particles from liquid by using the centrifugal force generated by liquid pressure. During the process, larger particles are removed from the bottom stream, water and fine particles are removed from the overflow.
Hydrocyclones are preferred because they take up very little space and require low investment. It is used unrivaled in the separation of fine solid grains from drilling fluids in almost all drilling facilities.
